Precautions: Allergy to nsaids. use in children. hemophilia. caution in asthma, bronchospasm, heart disease, peptic ulcer, diabetes, gout, gastritis, hypothrombinemia.
Indications/Uses: Fever, pain (arthritis, osteoid osteoma, chronic pain), migraine, rheumatic fever, kawasaki disease , pericarditis, coronary artery disease: 300 to 1000 mg qds to a max of 8000 mg/day. prevention of myocardial infarction and stroke; 75 mg od.
Interactions: Coumarin anticoagulants. hypoglycaemics. methotrexate (increased toxicity). spironolactone.
Side Effects: Stomach upset, dyspepsia, heartburn, gi bleeding. dizziness, tinnitus, hearing loss, vertigo, sweating, skin reactions, angioedema, bronchospasm, increased liver enzymes. reye`s syndrome in children.
