Indications/Uses: Prophylaxis of idiopathic gout, uric acid lithiasis or nephropathy; 300mg once daily, taken after food as its irritant; dose may be increased or reduced to suit condition.

Interactions: Potentiates anticoagulants, chlorpropamide, mercaptopurine and azathioprine.

Side Effects: Gastro-intestinal upset. rash. dermatitis. rarely agranulocytosis, anaemia.arthralgia.
