Precautions : Closed-angle glaucoma. cardiovascular disease. thyrotoxicosis.

Indications/Uses: Schizophrenia, mania, agitation; 0.5-5 mg bd or tid upto a max of 30mg/day.

Interactions : Decreased effcet: carbamazepine, baribiturates. increased effect: chloroquine. paroxetine. propranolol.

Side Effects : Extrapyramidal effects; tremor, dystonia, tardive dyskinesia. drowsiness. blurred vision dry mouth. gastro-intestinal upset.
