Precautions : Penicillin hypersensitivity.

Indications/Uses: Upper respiratory infections due to susceptible organisms, prophylaxis of recurrent rheumatic fever; 250-500mg qid, before food.

Interactions : Probenecid reduces excretion.

Side Effects : Gastro-intestinal upset. rash. hypersensitivity reactions. fever. eosinophilia. anaphylactic shock. anaemia. thrombocytopenia. neuropathy. nephropathy.
