Precautions : Hypersensitivity. care in anaemia and neutropenia.

Indications/Uses: Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor used in hiv infection, with other agents; 200mg tid or 300mg bd. prevention of infection after needlesticks.

Interactions : Phenytoin. probenecid. chronic administration of paracetamol.

Side Effects : Severe headache. anaemia. neutrpenia. nausea. vomiting. fever. abdominal pains. myalgia. insomnia. rash.
