Precautions : Toxicity common when given parenterally. caution in renal impairment. pregnancy and lactation.

Indications/Uses: Systemic fungal infections; iv max 50mg/day over 2-6 hrs

Interactions : Digoxin (increased toxicity) ciclosporin (nephrotoxicity). corticosteroids (hypokalaemia).

Side Effects : Nausea. anorexia. epigastric pain. vomiting. fever. muscle and joints pains. anaemia. hypokalaemia. hypomagnesia. renal toxicity.
