Precautions : Hypersensitivity to ace inhibitors. aortic stenosis. pregnancy/lactation. porphyria. caution in impaired renal function.

Indications/Uses: Treatment of hypertension 25 tid to max 450 mg/day, chf, left ventricular dysfunction after mi, diabetic nephropathy 25 mg tid.

Interactions : Potassium sparing diuretics and potassium supplements. nsaids reduced effect. increases lithium levels. clonidine. allopurinol. ciclosporin increases hyperkalaemia.

Side Effects : Cough. neutropenia. thrombocytopenia. rash. loss of taste. pancreatitis.
